Okatmos® star 100 Plus

Wet and pressure sensitive adhesive

  • Short ventilation time
  • Solvent free and very low emission
  • Universally applicable
  • Easy trowelable
  • Anti-microbial technology
  • Breathe easy technology

Solvent-free (according to TRGS 610), very low-emission wet bed and pressure-sensitive adhesive for bonding, LVT, homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC flooring in strips and tile format, VCT floor coverings, rubber up to 4.0 mm thick in sheeting and tile format, linoleum up to 3.2 mm thickness as well as textile floor coverings. Okatmos® star 100 Plus can be used as wet bed and pressure sensitive adhesive as well as in the contact method (double-drop). Okatmos® star 100 Plus contributes to the prevention of odors with its antimicrobial properties.

The substrate must comply with VOB Part C, DIN 18 365, current data sheet BEB as well as with all technical requirements and must be ready for installation. The surface must be sound and clean. Remove dirt, paint, oil, grease wax and other contamination which might act as a bond breaker. Prepare all non-absorbent substrates with Kiesel suitable primers and level using Kiesel self leveling compounds. Before installing vapor-tight coverings prepare substrate with self leveling compound.

Okatmos® star 100 Plus should be used as a product component together with other Kiesel floor installation system products.

Mix Okatmos® star 100 Plus well if necessary. Use appropriate notched trowel to apply the adhesive onto the substrate. Install covering after a drying time of 5 - 40 minutes and roll down. Ensure a full area application on the back of the covering. Technical Data Sheet approx. 30 - 60 minutes. Please follow the installation instructions of the flooring manufacturer, especially the directions for covering acclimation. Weld joints no earlier than two days after the installation.

At 68 °F (+20 °C) and 65 % relative humidity. Higher temperature and low humidity decreases, lower temperature and high humidity increases this value respectively.

The floor coverings must be sufficiently relaxed, acclimatized, and adapted to the room climate for future use. The relevant information and instructions given by the manufacturer of the floor covering must be observed.

  • Heavy rolling tension, protruding edges or padding, creases are to be weighed during the installation until the adhesive has set.
  • In case of high temperature loads, e.g. By sun direct exposure in winter gardens or on window sills, when subjected to heavy mechanical loads by lifting trucks, floor conveyor vehicles or the like. As well as surface moisture condensation, it is preferable to use Okamul PU or to obtain additional application advice.
  • In the case of floor covering, the generally accepted rules of the subject and the technique, as well as the current standards and information sheets, must be taken into account. In particular:
    • DIN 18365 "Flooring work"
    • BEB-guideline "Assessment and preparation of substrates"
    • TKB-guideline "Assessment and preparation of subfloors for flooring and parquet work"
    • TKB-guideline "Bonding of Elastomer Flooring"
    • TKB-guideline "Bonding of PVC floor coverings"
    • TKB guideline "Bonding of linoleum floor coverings"
    • TKB-guideline "Bonding of textile floor coverings"
